Fortunately most people in Pasadena are pretty good about respecting the rules, most of the time. Yet some actively harass people on bikes and have even admitted it publicly. If you regularly ride a bike or walk around the City, chances are good that you've experienced this issue.
Harassment of any road user - drivers to cyclists, cyclists to pedestrians, etc. - is unsafe and unacceptable. This is particularly crucial in the case of road users who are more vulnerable in collisions.
With this in mind, our latest project is a petition to Pasadena City Council:
PasCSC is asking the City to take a stand in affirming that everyone - no matter their choice of transportation - has the right to use public roadways. Other cities, including the City of Los Angeles, have passed or are working on legislation to protect vulnerable road users from that kind of harassment, so it can be done. Please take 30 seconds to sign our petition to City Council to adopt an anti-harassment ordinance.
